Advanced Practice Nursing

Advanced Practice Nursing (APN) refers to a level of nursing practice that goes beyond the basic registered nurse (RN) role. Advanced practice nurses have acquired advanced education and clinical training, enabling them to provide a higher level of care and take on expanded responsibilities in various healthcare settings. This includes roles such as nurse practitioners (NPs), clinical nurse specialists (CNSs), certified nurse midwives (CNMs), and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs). It is also involving in such activities like diagnosing and managing health conditions, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, providing patient education, and coordinating care across healthcare settings.
